Governors

School governors are all unpaid volunteers, drawn from all sectors of the community. The governing body meets once during each half term this gives an opportunity for all the governors to meet, discuss and reach decisions on a range of matters affecting the school.

We meet at least once each half  term or more frequently if necessary. We had different responsibility and each meeting has a specific focus. All meetings have minutes produced - you can read any meeting minutes upon application to the school or by contacting the Governors Unit.

It isn’t all work though; we also meet for social functions like the summer BBQ or quiz nights, very often being involved in the running of some of these activities. We sometimes meet socially outside of school as well.

All of the new facilities created inside and outside of our school, approaches to teaching and learning, school organisation, extended services, policies and ethos begin with consideration and discussion in one or more of the half termly meetings.

We are immensely proud of our school, its staff and the children and we work to support and challenge the school to make improvements continually.

We commend the work of being a governor to you, we believe that we make a difference being school governors here, and invite you to find out more about becoming a school governor with us.
